A Christmas Carol

The Poughkeepsie Journal had a nice piece on the CenterStage production of 'A Christmas Carol' It's something I wanted to see, but unfortunately my schedule is pretty jam packed and I don't think that I'm going to be able to make it this weekend. Judging by the people involved, I'm sure it will be excellent.

"A holiday classic will be preformed with a twist in through Saturday at the Center for Performing Arts.

Together with Centerstage Productions, the Center for Performing Arts will present a brand-new musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol."

The adaptation is from a book by Lou Trapani and will feature 16 new songs by David Forman.

Trapani's adaptation incorporates a "play within a play" motif familiar to audiences of "Noises Off," "Babes in Arms" and the Bill Murray film "Scrooged.""
