Private Funding to Support the Bardavon

From the Poughkeepsie Journal:

M&T Bank has given $19,500 to the Bardavon 1869 Opera House to support a
variety of the theater's programs and presentations. According to Bardavon
Executive Director Chris Silva, M&T has been the theater's top corporate
sponsor for the past 12 years.

In the 2005-06 season, M&T helped to
underwrite the Hudson River Arts Festival, two Hudson Valley Philharmonic
concerts and the Bardavon Gala featuring Frankie
Valli and the Four Seasons.

"M&T Bank is one of the very important reasons the Bardavon has been
doing so well over the last decade," Silva said.
The Bardavon is one of the oldest venues in the area, with a rich history, and beautiful details. Bardavon website has a virtual tour worth checking out. So after yesterday's story about funding being cut, I thought that this would show a private donor stepping up.
