The Power Behind Broadway

Did you ever wonder who makes a show happen? There are literally thousands of plays and musicals written. Some are good, some are bad, and then there are the lucky few that make it to Broadway. There are thousands of actors waiting for a break. Then there all those pesky little details to take care of ... Who are the people who make everything work?
EVEN if you're an avid theatergoer, you probably don't know any of the 20 people
pictured above among the orchestra seats of the August
Wilson
Theater. But in a business often associated with name-brand stars,
diva-wrangling directors and picky playwrights, these are the people who help
bring those characters' talents to a paying audience.

The NYTimes has a feature on the powers behind the scenes.
