I saw a contest for "King or Queen of Broadway" for anyone interested:
MusicalTheaterAudition.com is sponsoring this event. It sounds like fun, although I'm not sure what exactly the benefits will be, as the site does not yet have details on either the panelists of judges or on the fabulous prize.
From the site: "After years of providing up-and-coming performers with the tools and resources to help improve their auditions and performances, MTA has found a new way to propel would-be stars forward. With an all-star judging panel of professional performers and teachers, this contest will not only provide valuable exposure, but offer some valuable feedback and opportunity for growth as well."
Contest is online, and requires submitting mp3 files. I'll update as I find out more details.
