And the Pulitzer Prize for Drama goes to ...

No one. That's right, the Pulitzer Prize Committee decided not to give out their Drama award this year. The Nominations were Adam Rapp's Red Light Winter, Rolin Jones' The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow, and Christoper Durang's Miss Witherspoon.

Historically this has happened several times since the Drama Catagory was founded in 1918. The last time was in 1997, previous to that, no awards in Drama occurred in 1986, 1974, 1972, 1968, 1966, 1964, 1963, 1951, 1947, 1944, 1942, and 1919.

Established in 1917 in honor of journalist & publisher Joseph Pulitzer, the Pulitzer Prize honors high achievement in 21 journalism and arts categories, including History, Fiction, Poetry and Music.
