Children/Teen Acting Classes

From Stage to Screen (www.fromstagetoscreen.net) is running the following classes.

Children's Theatre* Ages 5-6

This class provides a terrific introduction to acting techniques with broad applications to the stage as well as everyday living.  Each fun-filled class promotes listening and speaking skills, creativity, self-confidence and more.  Students will learn improvisation, theater games, story dramatization, vocal projection, character  movement, professionalism and dramatic training designed to expand the imagination and to increase concentration.  The first 8 weeks will be spent on technique; the second 4 weeks will put them to
practice when the class rehearses a short play/skit that they will present to parents and friends on 5/8/10.

Classes Run: 3/6/10-5/8/10
No Class: 4/3
Final Free Performance: 5/8/10

Classes Run from 10:00 - 11:30 Saturday Mornings

Teen Improv (Ages 12 - 16)


All things comedy, sketch, standup, characters, scene study, improv, etc.  A fun way for teens of all levels to get up on stage and build confidence for the future.  Our encouraging style of teaching is designed to nurture
the creative side using the tools of comedy.  Plus kids build ownership and confidence by having the opportunity to perform in a show open to the public entitled "All I Really Need to Know I Learned by Being in a Bad Play" Instructor:  Sally Kaplan
